What the system does
Battery alongside an existing solar plant
The battery is installed alongside the solar PV plant and shares its point of connection. It stores midday output, when the captured price falls, and sells it at dusk. Each day the EMS decides how much to store and when to export.
- 01
Shifts solar output to the highest-price hours.
- 02
Reduces energy lost to curtailment and export limits.
- 03
Stays within the grid access and connection capacity already granted to the plant.
- 04
Prepares the asset for balancing services and the capacity mechanism.
Typical functions of this type of system. The specific strategy for each installation is defined by the preliminary study and fine-tuned by the EMS during operation.
